In Part Two of the 3/31 edition of Seng Center, host Jimmy Sengenberger sits down with Phil Perington and Steve Curtis for a discussion on the essence of the Tea Party. From 1997 to 1999, Perington and Curtis were the chairmen of the Colorado Democratic and Republican parties, respectively. They have since become registered independents and members of the Tea Party, serving on the board of Tea Party Patriots, a local Denver-area Tea Party group.
This unlikely duo of Tea Party compadres share their take on the Tea Party, explaining why they are registered Independents, what the Tea Party is about, and why they’re fully on board. Plus, what is the Tea Party’s significance in today’s political debate?
