4/7 Pt 2 – Gregory Carlson on conservative takeover of the CU government, Colorado College Republicans (Pt 2)

In Part Two of the 4/7 edition of Seng Center, host Jimmy Sengenberger continues his in-studio chat with Gregory Carlson, Student Body Treasurer at CU-Boulder and chairman-designate of the Colorado Federation of College Republicans. Following this interview, and obviously thanks to the now-infamous “Sengenberger Bump,” conservatives utterly dominated the student government elections there for the third time in a row!
Gregory, who masterminded the conservative takeover of the Student Government at CU-People’s Republic of Boulder (CUSG), explains what small-government policies the CUSG implemented and just how much these college students put on the line in doing so – exactly the kind of thing Republicans at the state and national level should be doing.
Jimmy and Gregory then discuss the perils of spending cuts and the then-impending threat of a “government shutdown” and what needs to be done to tame the national debt and federal spending. Finally, Gregory shares plans for the CFCRs in the 2011-2012 school year when he is chairman.
